Lucky Traditions Around The World We've probably all heard the expression "the luck of the Irish" and that four leaf clovers are lucky. But there's a wide variety of lucky traditions that can be found in practically every culture. Here are some you might not have heard of: Morocco - Finding and then keeping a turtle in the home or garden is sure to bring good fortune. Serbia - According to Serbian folklore, spilling water behind someone confers good luck on that person. United Kingdom - On the first day of each month, say "rabbit" right after waking for good luck. China - The number "8" in Chinese sounds similar to the word for fortune, so events are often scheduled using eights in times and dates. Bolivia - Ancient Andean culture holds that llama fetuses are lucky, so one is buried in the foundation of new houses to bestow luck opon the owners. Worldwide - The Solfeggio frequency 528 Hz is thought to bring about good fortune and even miracles. The QuWave Amore generates 528Hz along with 639 Hz (for improved communication). |
